Tak Kunjung Diperbaiki, Pedagang Pasar Slipi Terancam Gulung Tikar
Ratusan pedagang di Pasar Slipi Jaya, Jalan Anggrek Garuda, Palmerah, Jakarta Barat terancam gulung tikar. Pasalnya, dampak dari kondisi bangunan pasar yang mengalami  kerusakan cukup parah hingga membuat pasar jadi tampak kumuh tingkat kunjung.

Slipi Jaya Market Needs to Be Renovated

The condition of Slipi Jaya Market on Jalan Anggrek Garuda, Palmerah, West Jakarta is very poor. It is seen from severe damage in some building's part which makes the market looks shabby and loosing buyers. The market's traders ask PD Pasar Jaya to improve the market immediately.

I demanded to PD Pasar Jaya to renovate the market, but we have not received an answer until now

Based on beritajakarta.com monitoring,  many of market ceiling has been leak due to water seepage. As a result, many traders use plastic tarp to cover the ceiling from water droplets.

Furthermore, the building painting is also moldy, weathered, and fade. The odor from cat litter also seen in almost market corner on each floor.

February, 500 Street Vendors in Kedoya Relocated

Yasmin (48), grocery vendor in the second floor said, the market lifetime has expired since 2010 ago. The traders have information that the market will be improved in October 2014, but it has not done until now.

"The market is too old, many leakage at the ceiling, and the odor from cat litter also spread anywhere, it is not feasible to be a market for now," Yasmin complained, Saturday (1/31).

As a result, many traders close their kiosks, the buyers also continue to decrease. "We still have buyer at three years ago although the market was damaged. But, the buyers keep decreasing," she added.

Head of Slipi Jaya Market, Yusuf also admitted the poor condition of the market. His side has reported to PD Pasar Jaya to immediately renovate the market.

"Not only Slipi Jaya, but also other market are damage. I demanded to PD Pasar Jaya to renovate the market, but we have not received an answer until now," Yusuf uttered.

Due to that, 400 traders from 750 kiosks at the market were asked to be patient to wait the market renovation.
